This photo shows Ms. Ebony Arrindell using video media to demonstrate some table tennis skills to the young participants. This VTTF Saturday coaching program is held monthly at the NDP Office in Bequia.
Ms. Arrindell also does coaching sessions at her school “Lower Bay Primary School” and is in the process of getting certified as a Level 1 table tennis coach.
At the Villa Tennis Center they basically have a racket sport program stemming from the contribution of Table Tennis equipment and program funds from the VTTF program layout. Level 1 coach Roxann Williams played a big role in making this program possible at this location and with her we have two other female coordinators. PTK – Ms. Janelle Gonsalves Humphrey and Ms. Cleo White, who is seeking to complete her certification as a level 1 table tennis coach this year.
The layout is wonderful having three ladies taking the next step to making the Table Tennis program’s continuation a successful one.
In this level one coach certification course we had a number of our active Coach’s assistant and Ptks take part. This was to further improve upon themselves and the quality of the coaching sessions our programs offer to the kids.
Ms. Clyornique Durrant (Fancy), Ms. Ebony Arrindell (Bequia), Mr. Lenford Mornix (Clare Valley), Mr. Kevon Dember (Petit Bordel), Mr. Mikael Hazelwood (Fair Hall), Ms. Cleo White (Villa Tennis Center) were among the participants of the course upgrading their coaching skills and certification.
Major Highlight
In August 2023, the VTTF and Troumaca with Fancy area got the best news as it pertains to the programs ongoing at those locations. The UKFMCT – UK Friends of the Mustique Charitable Trust will be funding the programs for another year.
They were happy with the work done for the first program year and entrust us with the funds to carry on and improve upon the program for another year.
The VTTF wishes to do just that and keep the program going in its positive direction.
VTTF Head Coach/Administrator Remarks
We are moving forward in a positive direction and hope for the support locally, regionally and internationally.
With the continued effort of the UKFMCT collaboration with the VTTF, funding programs in the most difficult to reach areas the light gets brighter for our young kids. Thank you UKFMCT.
We look forward now to those who can contribute to the other areas, brightening the light even more for the kids around St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
